Performance Athletics arch baseball backstops combine sleek, modern design with superior functionality. Excellent ball capture characteristics provide the perfect solution to today's field design challenges. Our arch backstops have the durability to withstand the harshest weather conditions.

Arch baseball backstops are available in perpendicular (90 degree) and layback (65 degree)configurations in a variety of sizes. When home plate is positioned at the front of the backstop opening, perpendicular arch backstops are designed to capture 100% of foul balls behind home plate. Layback arches are designed to capture about 75% of foul balls, while permitting foul balls hit directly above home plate to remain in play.

Models 1716 and 1718 are available with optional five and ten foot overhead extensions.

Arch baseball backstops are constructed of the finest Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe and 2" x 2" galvanized mesh to provide strength, integrity, and longevity. No welding is required for installation. Optional powder coat finish including bands and tension bars along with vinyl coated mesh.

Performance Athletics smaller backstops are available in permanent or portable configurations. Compact, economical design makes them perfect where space, cost, or portability is an issue.

Models 1701 and 1702: standard duty, small, hooded backstops.

Models 1703 and 1704: extra heavy-duty hood truss for maximum strength.

Models 1705 and 1706: non-hooded for economy and simplicity.

Frames are constructed of Schedule 40 galvanized steel with zinc plated fittings, panels from 9 gauge, 2", galvanized mesh. Mesh fabric is cut to the approximate size, installed with tension bars, and shipped in rolls. No welding is required for installation.

Performance Athletics hooded backstops, designed for permanent installation, are available in numerous heights and widths. Frames are constructed of Schedule 40 galvanized steel with zinc plated fittings. Rear and side panels are made from 9 gauge, 2" galvanized mesh, and the hood from 11 gauge, 2", galvanized mesh. Mesh fabric is cut to approximate size, installed with tension bars, and shipped in rolls. No welding is required for installation.

Optional rear panel planking is available in heights of two to five feet, constructed from 2" x 12" pine or Douglas fir with a painted forest green finish.

Performance Athletics heavy-duty regulation foul ball poles are available in 20, 30, and 40 foot heights. Panel frames are 18" wide, sit eight feet above finished grade, and come welded to the pole with the 2" x 11 gauge knuckle mesh in place. Poles are constructed of Schedule 40 steel with a yellow powdercoat finish.

Model 1773: 20 foot pole that tapers from a 3-1/2" O.D. to a 2-7/8" O.D.

Model 1774: 30 foot pole that tapers from a 4-1/2" O.D. to a 3-1/2" O.D. to a 2-7/8" O.D.

Model 1775: 40 foot pole that tapers from a 5-9/16" O.D, to 4-1/2" O.D. to 3-1/2" O.D. to 2-7/8" O.D.

Performance Athletics heavy-duty transporter system makes it easy to move portable baseball backstops on and off the field. Wheels are equipped with pneumatic tires for effortless rolling on turf.

Model 8043-02: two detachable wheel assemblies which mount to the front vertical posts of baseball backstop models 1702, 1704 and 1706. Backstops are drilled to accommodate wheels when you order a transporter with them.

Model 8044: a hand truck with semi-pneumatic tires lifts the backstop, making it easy for you to attach or detach wheels. After installing wheels on the backstop, you can use the hand truck to pull it.
